LYSA Travel Teams Try-outs On Sunday, March 7 |

Open try-outs for new players who wish to play on one of the LYSA travel teams will be conducted this Sunday, March 7, from 2:00pm to 3:30pm at Gameday Sports Center in Oberlin. LYSA will have five teams competing in the American Amateur Soccer League this spring. The AASL is a community-based, competitive boys travel soccer league. Although the league is a boys league, LYSA has a large number of girls participating (and succeeding) on their teams. Games are primarily played on Sundays, with the possibility of a few weekday games.
LYSA has existing travel teams in U8, U10, U11 and U12. A new U9 team is registered to begin play this spring as well. The try-outs for the U9 team is for a brand new roster/team of 12. Try-outs for the other age groups will be to fill a number of open roster spots. The try-out schedule will be as follows:

2:00-2:30pm - Parent/player meeting to discuss travel program, fill out forms, uniform sizing

2:30-3:30pm - Player on-field drills/scrimmages/evaluations
SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL U9 PARENTS - LYSA will still be having two U9 rec teams for the spring - both coed. If you/your player do not want to go travel, there are plenty of spots still open on the rec teams.

LYSA will be holding final registration sessions for players for the upcoming Spring 2010 session. The sessions will be Saturday, February 20th and Saturday, February 27th from 10:00am to 1:00pm both days. Both sessions will be held at the LaGrange Municipal Building. The registration fees for players returning from the Fall 2009 season are $50 for U7 on up and $30 for PeeWees & Wildtots. 2010 LaGrange 3v3 Live Soccer Tournament |

The second annual LaGrange 3v3 Live Soccer Tournament is scheduled for Saturday, June 19th, 2009 at LaGrange Community Park. Last year, a total of 41 teams from across the state participated in our first-ever event. We received wonderful feedback from a number of teams who enjoyed the tournament. A number of our own LYSA teams did very well in the tournament as well. Our goal for this year's edition is 60 teams. More information will be announced in the coming months, so stay tuned!
